KYLIAN: more views on bella figura, six dances, sweet dreams, saraband, petite mort & no more play

Next year, Jiri Kylian will, for the first time, allow his stunning ballet Bella Figura to be performed in America. He's chosen The Boston Ballet and I'm going to have to assume it is because because they have managed to convey his original idea, his original concepts in The Black and White Concepts. It can't be because they work cheap. And if it is, then there is some bent and crooked Dickensian money lender hovering over a pile of gold in a backroom on Washington Street somewhere and one of the dancers must surely be named "Dodger".

If only they would take on Nijinsky's Le Sacre du Printemps. Do we have to wait until 2013?
